New Intel: Shadow Alliances

We're gearing up for the second flashpoint to phase 2 at the moment and boy are there some spicy things cooking! Unfortunately next month marks the final month my gaming club will be at their current venue so I had to plan something big, I want us to leave the venue with a bang, but more on what I have plan in the next week or so. Until then, let's go through the cryptic intel on the Reclamation Wars that I enjoy releasing every now and then.

You may have noticed that I have also changed the thumbnail graphic style for new intel (including the previous articles). This is part of my initiative to make the blog more appealing and less mind numbing to look at.

Anyway, on with the actual content!

Meeting of the Firsts

A diplomatic meeting has taken place between the command of the Nulla Facultan 1st and Lord Kharimekh the First of the Khertet Dynasty, where upon a ceasefire between the Silent King’s forces and the Imperium has been agreed upon on the planets of Pythons III and IV in light of the recent Tyranid invasion on Veil’s Reach. In return, the Silent King has agreed to allowing the Nulla Facultan 1st to colonise a portion of Python IV. As a result, all of the Silent King’s forces have been recalled from these planets with the exception of the Protocian Dynasty.

Tormented Machine Spirits

A roaming Skitarii survivor cohort has discovered that the spirits of the broken machines of the mechanicum are tormented and restless on the contested planet of Python III. Upon further inspection by the group’s Tech Priests it seems as if individual components, specifically their more radioactive components, have been taken from their iron corpses, though by who or for what purpose is currently unknown. The Adeptus Mechanicus are requesting further intel into this matter from their Imperial allies as and when they discover anything noteworthy.

Cult Uprising on Perelus

The frontier world of Perelus has remained largely untouched by both the Necrons and the Imperium since the start of the reclamation efforts, and now reports from sporadic pockets of the human populace are reporting that a cult who follow a mysterious entity known as “Father Wyrmwood” are gaining popularity on the planet and are aggressively eradicating anyone who does not wish to join their ranks in welcoming the “Sky Mother”.

Whilst several bands of Perelus denizens have attempted to fight off the expansion of this foreboding cult, resistance seems futile as the followers of Father Wyrmwood seem implacable in the face of adversity.

Static into the Void

A primitive signal has been detected on known Imperial frequencies, originating from the planet of Python III. The encrypted message appears to be alerting the Reclamation forces that the sender is now able to communicate, transmitting coordinates and assist in the wider war raging across the Orberus Sector.

The Damned Mines

Several mines on the moon of Vector Alpha, where sightings of Chaos Cult activity and Daemonic Incursions have been reported to the Imperium and as such have been of particular interest to the Ordo Hereticus, have had further reports of Genestealer Cults leaving and entering these mines freely without trouble, whereas those loyal to the Imperium have been attacked on sight by both warp entities and followers of the Ruinous Powers alike. Is this a sign of some kind of unholy alliance between the two factions? Imperial Agents have been dispatched to learn more…

The Swarm Disperses

There are unusual reports of some of the Tyranid forces uncharacteristically tapering away from Veil’s Reach, specifically those of Hive Fleet Vespae, a Hive Fleet that was previously suspected to have been weaponised externally on the very same planet they are now moving away. Current theory is that the Hive Fleet are somehow being influenced by the Genestealer Cult that the Nulla Facultan 1st encountered recently during their battle against the alien threat.

The Inquisitors of the Ordo Xenos are currently looking into the matter to find out more about this baffling behaviour.
