Hobby Bingo 2024 Progress Sheet

Hobby Bingo is great. Unlike resolutions or target lists which can feel somewhat restrictive and demoralising to look at, especially if you've gotten through to June and you're nowhere near finishing that Imperial Guard army you set out to do, Hobby Bingo gives you the freedom to work on whatever project tickles your fancy at the time and is far more satisfying to watch fill up.

Hobby Bingo is not a new idea, in fact Games Workshop have published their own Hobby Bingo cards in their White Dwarf magazine for years and many other wargaming sites have had their hand at emulating the popular format. However, to me these bingo cards felt awfully bias and frustratingly unfair depending on your choice of armies and personal situations. As someone who lives in a smallish flat myself there is no reason for me to paint terrain, and unless you're playing Sons of Behemat or Imperial Knights you have no place painting up 4-5 titanic/behemoth units so those spots are already a no-go. I wanted to change this.

Introducing The Project Side Hobby Bingo 2024 Progress Sheet!

This is a Hobby Bingo sheet with a difference. The first thing you'll be sure to notice is how every square has not one but two unit types. This way should there be a particular category that doesn't quite work for you, no problem! You can play tactically and instead pick the unit type that suits you. There are 10 different unit types divided amongst the 25 squares which are:

  • Hero or Character
  • Unit of 2-4 Models
  • Unit of 5+ Models
  • Unit of 10+ Models
  • Vehicle or Monster
  • Terrain Piece
  • Behemoth or Titanic
  • Fantasy Unit
  • Sci-Fi Unit
  • Wildcard

The second thing you might have noticed is that the scoring system is not confined purely to the "single", "rows", "columns" and "full house" options that most bingo sheets utilise. Whilst rows and columns still score you points, all other points are awarded for filling up various different unit type categories with genre and wildcard scoring the least (as they can more or less be anything) and behemoth/titanic scoring the most (because they are huge projects unto themselves). Of course you can still cheat and just tick off all the behemoth/titanic boxes by completing the other unit type in each of the squares, but that just adds to the tactics you play on your bingo card. Finally there are no points for single squares - any completed project is a huge reward in itself and you should be proud just to see that box ticked!

To download the bingo sheet, simply right click and download the picture above and start filling in those boxes! I myself will be posting my own Hobby Bingo progress here on this site as the year goes on so stay tuned for that, and I look forward to seeing how you all get on with your own bingo sheets in the future.
