Reclamation of Orberus: Phase 2, Flashpoint 2
Latest flashpoint details and they're on time this month! Last flashpoint we played using the custom missions that came with conquest affecting consequences for the losing side and I have painstakingly tallied all these up, as such this update I will be diving into the percentage claims for each alliance as well as the usual narratives and match ups as I usually do.
Unlike previous phases, I have asked all my players to select what type of mission they would prefer to play (Pariah Nexus, Tyrannic War, Custom, Pariah Nexus Mission Deck, Boarding Actions or Kill Team) and I assigned missions around those choices. Most games are either Pariah Nexus or Custom Missions but there is one or two Tyrannic War missions too. My game, if anyone is interested, is a Pariah Nexus mission.
Oh, and also we have allowed guest armies to star in this flashpoint, so the Oathbound Vultures and the Calamity Company, who dropped out of the campaign in earlier phases due to circumstances preventing them from committing to games every month, as well as the Arkos Dynasty who were part of the previous campaign and a brand new, unnamed Space Marine chapter that I currently know nothing about! So let's dive into it, shall we?
VENOM
CLAIM UPDATE
LEGIONS OF SILENCE 0%, FORCES OF RECLAMATION 29.5%, AGENTS OF DISCORD 3%
A great shadow looms over the Imperial moon of Venom as Necron battlecruisers darken the slies, and commandeered transports drop regiments of Hollowed troops at the gates of the forge cities of the Mechanicum, followed by swarms of swooping Nightscythes beaming down Necrons of the Khertet Dynasty and the Reticent Host behind them. Unfortunately for the Legions of Silence, the Reticent Host is slowed by the sudden appearance of straggler swarms of Hive Fleet Ex Umbra, whose vanguard organisms had remained hidden from their initial invasion of Venom, whilst the Pillage, whose role in the invasion was to disrupt the Imperial defences, find themselves hunted and attacked by a warband of Emperor’s Children who, having discovered that a Daemon Prince had ascended amongst the ranks of the Night Lords, attack their fellow heretic astartes in the hopes that their actions would appease the Chaos Gods and reward them for defeating such a prestigous champion. The Khertet Dynasty meanwhile find themselves unhindered in their advance and are met on the battlefield by Space Marines stationed on the moon to act as castellans in the absence of the Imperium’s main forces. PERELUS
CLAIM UPDATE
LEGIONS OF SILENCE 8.5%, FORCES OF RECLAMATION 0%, AGENTS OF DISCORD 39%
With all previous opposition destroyed by the seemingly unstoppable force of the Onderghast Crusade, and with no further attempts to take the planet by force by either the Legions of Silence or the Forces of Reclamation, the influences of the Genestealer Cults infesting Perelus spread like virus amongst the populace and their numbers grow in horrifying numbers every day. What was once was a frontier world teeming with a great many cultures is quickly becoming the personal property of Father Wyrmwood. VEIL'S REACH*
CLAIM UPDATE
LEGIONS OF SILENCE 17.5%, FORCES OF RECLAMATION 29.5%, AGENTS OF DISCORD 37%
The Tyranids uncharacteristically cease their invasion of the planet and begin to move away from Veil’s Reach and head in the direction of the chaos corrupted moon of Vector Alpha. With the majority of the planet already consumed and barren from the hive mind’s overwhelming assault, an alliance of Aeldari Craftworlds join forces to scour the desolate planet for a relic of great power and importance to their people but find themselves battling the Xenniset Dynasty who are similarly picking at the dying world in hopes of discovering Juno-60’s data vault and, in turn the Necron cultural archives. Meanwhile, the Thousand Sons who had previously left the greater battle for reasons unknown to all other forces in the Reclamation War, having caught wind of the Aeldari plans and have rematerialised through the warp to prevent them from discovering the relic of which they seek. PYTHON III
CLAIM UPDATE
LEGIONS OF SILENCE 23%, FORCES OF RECLAMATION 28%, AGENTS OF DISCORD 15%
Despite the ceasefire on the planets Python III and IV as agreed upon between the Khertet Dynasty and the Nulla Facultan 1st, the Angels of Vengeance continue to press the assault on Python III and, as sector commanders of the Imperium, order their allied forces to also disregard the agreement they have with the Necrons. Despite the Legions of Silence vacating the planet however, the astartes strike force discover that the Protocian Dynasty had not only remained on the contested world but had, for reasons yet unknown, concentrated their forces in a specific location, vigilantly guarding whatever lurks there. With their suspicions raised, the Angels of Vengeance storm the enemy on foot as their air support is viciously shot out of the sky as soon as they approach the vicinity of Protocian territory. VECTOR ALPHA
CLAIM UPDATE
LEGIONS OF SILENCE 28%, FORCES OF RECLAMATION 17%, AGENTS OF DISCORD 27%
All those unaligned with the two grand alliances of both the Silent King and the Imperium converge on the chaos tainted planet of Vector Alpha, a phenomenon never before documented in Imperial history. Chaos Daemons spew from the mines below whilst Tyranid organisms descend from the skies above, somehow drawn to whatever mysterious force that sings to the hive mind. So great is the threat that both the Legions of Silence and the Forces of Reclamation divert a portion of their assets to eliminate the unforeseen threat. On the Imperial side, a strike force taken from the larger Watchers of the Fall force on Python IV are sent to lend support to the disgraced Nulla Facultan 1st who themselves are sent into the heart of the mines on a potential suicide mission for secretly striking a deal with the Necrons. On the Necron side, the Tallarn “17th” are redirected from the ships containing the Hollowed heading towards Venom to tackle the growing threat there whilst the Silent King himself summons the Arkos Dynasty, last seen on Ultrus Prime during the Tyranid invasion there, to aid in eliminating the Genestealer Cults that have made their way to the moon. Meanwhile the Warband of the Warped Talon and the Adraxhar Khanate also head to Vector Alpha, though for what reason is currently unknown or trusted by those they now ally themselves with… Planet Claim Events: +15 Defence for Agents of Discord

PYTHON IV
CLAIM UPDATE
LEGIONS OF SILENCE 26.5%, FORCES OF RECLAMATION 26%, AGENTS OF DISCORD 1%
With the Necrons absent from the capital planet due to their agreed ceasefire with the Nulla Facultan 1st, the Imperial forces take the opportunity to mount a full scale assault on Python IV with a significant number of the Watchers of the Fall space marine chapter invading the planet alongside the newly discovered and recently mobilised Skitarii cohort liberated from the nightmarish Python III, the latter of whom looking to recover any assets of value from the ancient machine race. Unbeknown to the Imperium however, the recently absent T’au Calamity Company also take the opportunity to strike the Necron home base and touch down close to the Noctolith pylons closest to the Mechanicum’s location. With their goals of asset recovery conflicting, the Skitarii and the T’au find themselves locked in combat in a battle to claim Python IV’s ancient technology for themselves. Planet Claim Events: +10 Claim for the Forces of Reclamation, -5 Defence for the Legions of Silence

*You may have noticed Veil's Reach looking a bit more peaky this update. Apparently a full on Tyranid invasion will do that to you.
